MODERN Features: The Modern Era CD-ROM disk is structured around the most current and comprehensive data compiled for all Lionel cataloged items available during the Modern era (1970 to 1997) and combines a variety of multimedia elements to create a fully rounded experience of each Lionel item. Contents and features include:

• Textual descriptions of each catalog item along with the contents of all sets and listings of any variations of an item to aid the collector in pinpointing the exact variation and its approximate market value.
• Current pricing & rarity estimates for every Lionel Modern item to assist in evaluating purchases & appraising collections.
• Color images for most Lionel Modern items, over 2500 photos including sets and accessories.
• Over one half hour of video, including clips of major Modern cars and accessory items in full operation, many with sound effects produced by the item. The disc features music "Last Train Home" by Pat Metheny.
